WHY A PHOTO TOUR IN NEPAL?
It’s where it all started. Not just for us, but for master photographers like Steve McCurry and Tino Soriano as well, and if there’s one thing that we all have in common, it’s that Nepal holds a very special place in our hearts.

Jorge Delgado-Ureña: renown Spanish photographer, resident teacher and co-founder of Raw Photo Tours, Jorge has over 15 years of experience in photography and an innate ability for teaching. He’s been published in local and international magazines such as Publico, Ijsberg, National Geographic amongst several others.

COVID TRAVEL INFO
- Passengers must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival.
- Passengers must have a negative COVID-19 test result taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. Tests accepted are GeneXpert, NAAT and RT-PCR.
- Passengers must obtain an “International Traveler Online Arrival Form” at https://ccmc.gov.np
- Visa on arrival facilities restarted for eligible passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Introduction to Nepal
Transfer to the hotel and introduction to this exquisite country.
Day 2: The Streets of Kathmandu
Meandering through narrow streets of Kathmandu is how we begin our adventure. It’s the perfect opportunity to get a feel of the place, observe and start capturing this fascinating country and its people.
Day 3 UNESCO World Heritage Site
Today we visit Pashupatinath, the most important Hindu temple in Nepal In this place of contrasts, where death is mourned and life is celebrated, we challenge you to try and capture the two opposing worlds.
Day 4: Life in a Buddhist Monastery
In the morning we head to the Karma Lekshey Ling monastery, a very special place in which the Rinpoche there is a personal friend of ours. Here we will have the chance to experience first-hand what life is like in a Buddhist monastery and share one of our theory sessions with several monks who are also amateur photographers!
Walking in circles can be frustrating, unless it is around one of the largest stupas in the world that is. Boudhanath not only amazes due to its size, but also because of the life that revolves around it. It is here where we will spend the afternoon, capturing the life of pilgrims and local devotees of a religion that stems from Hinduism, and yet in many ways is completely different.
Day 5-8: Authentic rural life
This is one of the cases in which the journey is just as important as the destination. Travelling in a 4×4, we’ll be crossing the country from east to west and enjoying some spectacular scenery as we make our way to Bandipur.
During the next few days not only will we have de opportunity to document, but also experience the Nepalese authentic rural lifestyle. There will be plenty of time to improve and perfect your portrait and storytelling skills while we are here with the help of the friendly (yet sometimes shy) locals.
Day 8-10: Gateway to the Annapurna Mountain Range
No trip to Nepal is complete without a visit to Pokhara. This city, the second largest in Nepal, sits a the foot of the Annapurna mountain range, however what makes this stop particularly interesting is the grand Phewa Lake. Here, women come to wash their clothes, visitors paddle in colourful boats and lovers stroll along the lake at dusk just in time to see the hundreds of glow worms appear almost as if out of thin air.
Day 10: Kathmandu
The morning of the 10th day we hop on a flight back to Kathmandu and spend our last day reviewing and commenting on the work produced, answering any remaining questions and allowing time for some last minute shopping and/or relaxing before heading home.

Transfer to the airport and end of the adventure…for now.

Participants are expected to be in fair health and be capable of spending the days walking around the various areas while carrying their own equipment. It’s a holiday, yes, but it’s also an adventure.
